Non-Profit Facilities

Care facilities for retired people may be run by for-profit or non-profit companies. Non-profit facilities have a history of meeting the needs of retired people. These facilities are often sponsored by fraternal organizations, community agencies, or religious organizations. They are managed by boards of trustees comprised of volunteers, who are dedicated to serving and meeting the needs of retired people. The trustees donate their time and expertise for just one reason: to assure that their residents receive high quality service and care.

Any excess revenue generated by a Non-Profit facility is invested back into the facility, for improvement of the building and enhancement of the services provided.
